James R. Male graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1979. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1983 and began practicing in Gahanna in January of 1984.

Dr. Male was inducted into the International College of Dentists in October of 2008. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Columbus Dental Society and is the Peer Review Chairman for the society.  He is on the Ohio Dental Association subcommittee for peer review and also serves as its chairman.

To serve the needs of patients with economic hardships, Dr. Male participates in the Dental Options program.

Dr. Male has two adult children, both Gahanna Lincoln graduates. He and his wife attend Peace Lutheran Church and reside in Blacklick.
